just picked up an 02 F4i in NJ
feels great to finally own my own bike again. Found a nice 02 F4i and decided that the dead of winter seemed like a great time to start riding again.... Not sure why because it is pretty damn cold here in Jersey. I will post pics at some point. Look forward to spending some time on here building my knowledge of this fine machine and contributing where I can.

Turbulenz, get yourself a Buff... https://www.buyabuff.com/. I pretty much wear mine strictly as a neck-warmer but it can be work in like a dozen dif ways!
Welcome aboard Seth! Good to have you w/ us.
Congrats on getting your F4i. Gotta love the split-seat! ;-)

Welcome to the monkey house! Winter is some of the best riding.
Think about it...the air is super dense, fistfuls of oxygen air being crammed
through the air-box. The radiator is shedding heat with un-matched efficiency,
allowing the engine to take advantage of that almost-lean mix.
With the foliage down, the line of sight is at it's maximum, on any given stretch of
the rode. Of course, you need to watch for that same foliage on the inside-low spots
of that same course. But, Hey! You knew that! lol
If you start haunting e-bay, you can pick-up some 12v heated gear.
It is awesome! I'm used to 28f being my tolerance level. Since I've gotten the
Gerbing jacket-liner/socks/glove combo, instead of 30-45 minute endurance,
I'm hitting the streets for 2+hours. The only reason I quit then, is brain fatigue
and an empty gas tank.

Thanks guys. I have pretty warm gear from snowboarding I have been wearing so it isn't too bad when its 50 or so out. Here are a couple pics of the bike.
Has a delkevic exhaust, zero gravity windscreen, and hotbodies undertail. First thing I plan to do is get better LEDs in this undertail because they are way too dim.
