ok pic is up.

its so nice outside... 68F. just got back from an hour ride.
i'm still having troubles taking off from a start.. i'm a bit terrified of the throttle in first gear.

The only riding experience i have prior to this is an hour on an R6 in a neighborhood. This bike seems easier to shift through gears and all around smoother.

The bike was lowered one inch with some kind of link... are there instructions/diy to restore to the original height?

Also.. the horn doesn't work.

Nice bike jnmacd ~ welcome to CBRF. Bought the same exact bike as my first one and it's a great starter bike, imo. Looks like your front forks just need to be slid down about 1.25". I don't know about how to raise the rear though; don't care for lowered bikes, lol.
You may consider taking an MSF course. It helps tremendously.

the guy i bought it from cut up a red bull can.. slipped it over whatever was there and clamped it down with a hose clamp.

it was the original red bull can.. but he switched it to sugar free when his wife started riding it.. lol

i don't understand bike terminology... what are the front forks?

im sure there is some threads in the f4i section about taking that link out, if you can't seem to find one just post a new one. you will get more help there then you would here..
as for the front fork i duno how to exlpain it lol

the 2 cylinders coming from your handle bar all the way down to the front tire. did that help you out at all man? i hope so.. but try the f4i section.
