Hi everyone, I thought this may be best place to learn and ask questions on a bike I'm likely to come home with later today.
It's an '89 F1 600 Hurricane, not quite a basket case as looks like only forks and gas tank are removed. I'm going to grab it as long as it isn't seized. $150 or best offer... Ad says owner was going to make a street fighter out of it but lost interest - 3 years ago. Might be right for a project I have in mind.
I'll check back in here with some pictures if I bring it home. I'm sure I'll have questions as well, initially basic steps to get engine running.
I'm a car, bike, small engine hobbyist. Restored an old Fiat 124 Spider, fabricated a hotrod lawn mower and have successfully rebuilt a few small engines (Honda, Briggs) and a chinese 200cc / 4 speed. So not a total newb. Bikes I've owned in the past - Kaw H1 500 triple, Yam RD 400 track bike, Kaw Z1A 900. Yea, nothing modern for sure. I'm kind of old... Lol.
