I know, even in the wet those surfaces are ridiculously fab! Apparently they are too advanced though. There's no known technique for de-icing them in frozen conditions according to what I've heard.

My Mod 1 test was cancelled for this exact reason. The roads and pavements were all fine, but the test pad was like an ice rink. My instructor and I went for a little slide around!

Re-test is 21st Jan so fingers crossed!

Oh how cool! I wonder why it retains ice so well. I had thought that it might just be an urban myth. If it drains water/rain away so easily, I wonder how/why ice builds up so well on it? Curiouser and curiouser...
