Default Greetings from the Midlands, UK...

Hi everyone!

New to the board and CBR's but not new to biking (20 yrs plus)...

Just picked up an '87 CBR1000 FH off Ebay to use mainly as a commuting tool, while my Busa is off the road.

Got the bike for reasonable money, but have since discovered one or two issues, which I'm sure I'll be able to find help and advice with here on the forums... She's got quite a noisy rattle on her (cam chain by the sound of it) which I'll need to get sorted if I'm gonna keep her for any time...

The biggest issue I've spotted over the time I've been browsing the forum is the lack of interchangeable parts between the models - plastics etc... Fortunately, Ebay seems to be a fairly good source of spares, and has already provided choke and throttle cables, and even a pair of exhaust covers/heat shields which seem quite rare on the ground!

Anyway, ramble over and introduction done.

Glad to be on board!

Dave.
