Default New Girl on the West-Midlands CBR block

Hello all!

I've recently swapped four wheels for two and am currently riding a little baby CBR125.

I'd always fancied trying motorbikes out as my dad was a biker in his youth and always spoke fondly of them, but I forever seemed to have other things that needed my attention/money .

I got the bike so that I could ride with my boyfriend instead of just sitting on the back, but have since split up with him, so I'm basically here to learn how to take proper care of my wee beastie!

Cheers for stopping by,

Heather

Welcome to the forum Heather.

You will find a lot of helpful info here. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. In no time at all, you will know all about your bike and probably be better at working on it than the ex ever was. lol

Cheers for the vote of confidence! I need to get buying odds and sods really. A paddock stand would make my life easier for starters

Oh yes, I did my compulsory basic training like a good girl! I've got my motorbike-specific theory test next week and then I want to get my full unrestricted bike license sorted before january (when European meddling is set to make the test harder to pass :/ ).

I work in the fresh meat trade and I'm not a big girl. There's a saying about skinny people; 'more meat on a butcher's pencil'. It gets banded around at work a lot

It's not even like I'm leggy either! I can see lowering kits featuring heavily in my future...

Leggy or not Heather, it's fantastic that you are riding and also brilliant you found this forum - so a very warm welcome to you!

My partner is also learning to ride - though not a CBR (Suzuki GSX 250 Shhh!) so she can have her own bike in Vietnam when we tour there in a few weeks time!

Enjoy your ride and ask any questions you need.

Cheers, SB
