Default Another Canadian! (Haligonian to be exact :P)

Hey guys,

Planning on getting myself an F4i within the next few weeks here, and found this site so figured I'd say hi!

Been riding since May, and picked up a 1984 Nighthawk S 750 as my first ride. That quickly died as some idiot decided to totally cut me off resulting in me T-boning home.

Friend of mine let me take his F4i for a little spin and I instantly fell in love

Welcome!
Good luck getting an F4i. Do you have one picked out already, or are you searching?

Glad you found us! Welcome aboard.

Its hard not to like the F4i. They are such great bikes. We've got an active F4i section here w/ l-o-t-s of information/tutorials/etc to do just about everything for the F4i.

Good shopping for yours.

So far, I'm liking the first one. Looks to the best taken care of. Of course, like any prospective purchase, would need more info. Good luck.

I feel the same way. The current owner is middle-aged, and says the previous owner was an older gentleman as well, so the bike was not abused. The mileage is high, but that's only relative as long as it was well taken care of. It's about 300km away from me as opposed to right in town with the other 2, but I figure that shouldn't matter if the bike is in better condition.

The first bike would be my first look as well.

However, if you are planning on riding 2 up the high mount exhaust may hurt a passenger's leg, but it looks good and performs well! It is the cheaper of the three, seems to be cleaner. With the stated mileage (high, but not super high) on the original motor. The other two look to be pieced together wrecks.

This is the email I got back from the first bike:

Hey Wes, as for mods, it has aftermarket signals on the back, Hindle exhaust, tinted shield, frame sliders, and the brake lights are custom. (at least thats how I would describe it, you would have to see it). I have no history on this bike, I purchased it in March, changed the oil, fixed the back seat cowl with some paint, put new tires on it , and she passed inspection. As for the bike ever being dropped, I don't see any evidence of it except one rear foot peg looks like it was dragged. I can't think of anything else besides the bike handles and performs well, starts quickly every time, and is decent on fuel. I took the bike to Cape Breton this fall and the bike performed perfectly, I would not hesitate to take this bike on any trip. I'm 41yrs old and just looking to go back to a cruiser. If there are any more questions let me know.

Pretty sure I may have found my new bike

The fact that it passes inspection as it sits is good. I've read too many "I just bought a bike and it wont pass inspection" threads. People end up spending more on the bike getting it to pass that they did on the bike itself.

Let us know how it goes.
