I am new here and i have a 99 cbr 600f4. I have had it 2 years now and it has about 8000 miles on it. I am thinking about rebuilding the carbs and re-jetting it. I have a scorpion slip on exhaust on it now. Any thoughts on what to do about the jets. I also am going to be purchasing new tires. I have heard a lot of good things about the pirelli diablo corsa III. Any thoughts on that or any other options for tires.

I am a fairly new rider and this is my first bike. Also, i dont have a lot of knowledge about bikes and the mechanics, but i have friends that are knowledgable. So any advise would be great.

Thanks

Patrick

Hello Patrick, you came to the right place with all those questions, lol. About those carbs, on a slightly used 8K mile bike, I'm wondering if they don't just need a good cleaning and having them synchronized. Pirellis are top brand tires, and would be more than adequate. Tire selection should be based on the type of riding your planning to do.
Nonetheless, the General Tech and/or the CBR 600F4 Forums would be the places to present these inquiries; you’ll get better, more accurate answers in those.
