I just bought an 93 cbr 600 f2 with 26k miles, runs strong. What oil is recommended for my bike and at how many miles should i change it? I want to learn everything there is about this bike so any advice, info, or suggestions is appreciated.

There are some places you can download electronic copies of the service manual. Check with the F2 section on this website!

and every 3 thousand miles, or every season is what I do.

Welcome to the forum!

Question

Hello and Welcome to the CBR Forum!!! I use Rotella T diesel oil, You can buy a gallon of it at wally world. You can search this site and read all day and night about what oil and when you need to change the oil.

You have a very nice looking F2, The only advice I could give you as a new CBR owner is change all the fluids on it. You do not know what the PO has used or how long it has not been changed.

I just did an oil change with Mobil 1 10w40 motorcycle oil and kn filter. It was expensive! Costs more than car oil. I read that people use car oil for their bikes. Is that okay for the wet clutches??

Welcome O2!
F2 looks on good shape.
Like Indy stated SHell Rotella oil is a great oil for our bikes. Just search for the oil thread.
Car oil is NOT OK to use in motorcycles with wet clutches...it wasnt designed for that.
It'll break down faster than a Harley and will burn up your clutch/cause engine damage.
