Hi everyone. Just bought my self, at last I might add, a 1987 CBR 1000 FH. Always wanted one and no i have it. My only concern is getting new plastics on it, which I'm finding hard to source (originals) in good condition. Might have to go the re pro option, Fibreglass or carbon fibre. I am lucky tho as it had all the original plastic on it when i bought, but few cracks and missing lugs makes me want new ones. After i take it in to the shop next week, Ill start the plastic project. At the moment I will be doing the top end, Timing gear, Timing chain tensioner, camms, valves etc, new fork seals, new wheel bearings front and rear, new tyres and new brakes (rotors and pads) Any suggegtions is most appreciative!! Hopefully the pics are ok for you to see her.
Cheers all
Stuart

Hello Stuart and welcome!! :-)

It looks a lovely old CBR1000 ... I remember those original ones when they first came out here in 1987 together with the CBR600F1 ...

Enjoy the forums and stay safe!! :-)

Thank lord I know a spray painter, so the prep and painting wont cost me an arm and a leg. Should have it all finished by April's end. Where in Melb are you?
