New to the 600s, have a couple of questions
Well, name is Marcovich, or Marcov or for those who like even cutting it shorter Marco. Been riding since 2003, first bike was a Kawi 250, sold that bought an 03 Honda Superhawk rode that for a few years and sold it with close to 60k miles, bought it with 4k. Was out of riding for a couple years and I am now looking for something smaller, lighter but with good power and I love the Honda bikes so here I am. Have that itch to ride again and it needs to be scratched, of course it helps when the topic of me selling my car to get something else and the wife says "Hey you should think about getting another motorcycle..." Been searching the local CL here and found a few bikes. Was curious as to what pricing is currently for 01 - 06 CBR600F4is and 03 - 06 CBR600RRs. Here is what I have so far, any comments about the bikes would be appreciated. Last two photos are for the 2005 Honda CBR600RR, got them e-mailed to me from the owner. I am personally leaning towards the 2003 RR. Thanks in advance!

First of all, welcome to the forum.
I ride an F4, the carb'd version of the F4i.. the ergos are really great for a supersport.. I have never ridden an RR but I have sat on them. They feel more aggressive, but they don't feel too low on the tree or heavy on the wrists.. others can comment on that for sure.
If you decide to go for an F4i, choose between the split seat (01-03) and banana seat (04-06). I have the banana seat on my F4 and to me it is very comfortable, although the split seat looks sportier and more aggressive...
The 600RR looks similar from 03-06, but the 05 and 06 version (from what I have read) is much better all around.. considerably lighter, better brakes and more midrange power... if I am incorrect please... someone correct me. I had been looking at the 500RR as my next bike way down the road. This is what my research has told me. If you can afford more coin, look at the 07 or 08 model.. considerably better than the one before but more money..
The F4i is a great bike in nearly all aspects... the RR is more modern and aggressive, but the F4i might be a better all around bike... sit on and ride both if you can. Both have plenty of power, fuel injection, and great handling.
Good luck with whatever you decide...

Thinking about looking more towards the F4i's as they seem to be a bit less pricey out here. Although some people seem to be demanding a premium for them, even with some crash damage. $4500 on one with the left lower fairing thrashed, and the upper fairing thrashed as well as some scraping on the left engine cover... :/ Wouldn't budge below $4000. Retail blue book is $2900... Oh well, keep on looking.

I've seen the 03-04 600RRs for around 3500 to 3000. But if I were you I would go for at least an 05-06. I've seen those in the $4000 range as well. You just have to keep looking. Some body out there is always desperate to sell.
