Default Just an Introduction

Howdy all. Name is Gary, or Lezion, whichever you guys prefer. I just got a hold of a '92 CBR600. It runs great, but the body definitely needs some work. I will be posting some pictures of it soon, so you guys can see what I'm working with. I'm hoping to clean it up, and really make it my own over the next few months, but as this is my first bike, help would be lovely, and I will try to contribute to the community where I can. Looking forward to being a part of the CBRF family

Welcome aboard Gary!

Congrats on getting your first bike. The '92 is a solid ole bike. Here's hoping that your is a solid canvas to work w/ in bringing it back to life.

Feel free to start a rebuild thread. We all like those. Just ask Conrice. ;-)

Thanks for the warm welcomes! So in which section would one post a rebuild thread in? I'd like to make sure I am posting in the correct places. Hahaha

Conrice, my plan is to make it into a nice naked / streetfighter looking bike. The fairings were removed before I even had it. I'd like to replace the headlight, which is broken anyways, along with the gauge cluster (add an electronic one), and the gas tank. I would also like to put a different tail on it. As far as the paint goes, my dad has some leftover. A cherry red from an '07 Mustang my mom used to own. I'll shoot the bike with that, and I would like to repaint the frame, as it was done by a previous owner, but it could look better. I'm thinking of doing it in either a silver or gold.

Put your build thread in the F3 section or the street fighter section.

92 Model is F2 territory

Welcome to the forums - hop on down to the F2 group and we'll setter you straight. I've got a F2 that had the body in rough shape when I got it and did a lot of plastic repair and repainting - we'll be happy to help out.
