I'm feeling bit overwhelmed fixing this one bike up! Never mind 3 builds!
after starting to take it apart I've found the airbox needs replacing, doesn't look like its from the frame, fuel tap doesn't work but looks brand new & again not from this model, all few rad hoses are quite brittle, he's also replaced the fuel pump which makes an awful a lot of noise (told I can put a fuel pump from a 600?) & also there is no fuel filter. :-s. Any advice where I can get a airbox from, fuel tap etc?

Keeps me out of the wife's hair mate. I was actually discussing one of the bikes with a friend today as he was telling me he has a quad bike and it needs a carby kit put in and he's to scared to have a go at it.
I told him one of the 750/4's was actually in boxes when we go it and every piece was a singular item. The whole bike including motor was pulled apart and just thrown in boxes so our first job was to get everything payed out and bag and tag.
One of the most valuable things we have is a 42inch tv in the garage so anything we are not sure of we can hook up the laptop to it and either get exploded views or even videos step by step. Makes things way easier.
I've done away with the airboxs on the 750/4's and using k&n pods, but k&n also make their own multi chamber pods so I'd be pretty sure you could talk to them and they would have something to suit.

Make yourself know to a good wrecker as well, buy a few bits and pieces, strike up a few discussions then drop a case of beer in and say thanks for their help. I'm sure you will from then on get really good service and advice.

Check out David silver spares as they have lots of replacement parts.

Quite often I will buy a bike that's been in an accident just to have a good supply of parts, we have a pretty big shed and in it we installed Dexion pallet racking system which made storing bits and
Ices really easy. The shelving can even hold full motor sitting on a section and they are cheap to be second hand but will last a few lifetimes.

Fuel filter what I have done in the past is go to a marine / boating supplies and get a small inline fuel filter. Change it out every oil change and I think last one I bought was like only $5.00

Another hint is get rid of your coolant , Google "Evans Coolant" they do a prep first then change to the Evans coolant, read up on it and you will then understand why

The other thing we religiously use is a "pro-Ma " fuel additive called PT5. That's the one for petrol and they do a diesel one called DT5 , (pt 5 [five]. It's great stuff , cleans the whole fuel system as well as intake and exhaust ports, valves and combustion chambers as well as upper cylinder lubricant in it.
