Default Honda CBR400RR NC23 overheating issue

Good evening,

I've just bought a Honda CBR400RR NC23 for my first bike. I absolutly love it! However, it's just developed an overheating issue. I first noticed it after roughly half an hour of motorway riding when it stuck in the high temp and started to hit the red line. So I pulled over and noticed coolant pouring out of the overflow (Must've lost around 1 litre). Long story short I got recovered home... My first suspicion could be thermostat issues, so I've gone to check it and the thermostat has been removed entirely; making me think there is a further issue being covered up here as I've only had it a couple weeks. I'm going to flush the system and make sure there's no blockage and put a new thermostat in. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I should check? I absolutly love this bike and want to get it running right. (Apologies for the long one, just seems like this could be a number of issues) Thank you for your time.

Welcome to the forum, you should also change the radiator cap as without the correct pressure in the system the fluid will boil!
