Help
Hey y'all. New to the page, new CBR owner. Mine is a 94 CBR900RR and her fuel pump went out. Ok so I've been told I can by-pass it. Fuel line to filter, filter to carbs right? What issues will I run into by doing this? What else needs to be done so I don't hurt the carbs? Please no negative comments as I believe if I'm good enough to ride this gem, I should be willing to learn the gem. Thanks.

Hi , just to check ,are you sure its the pump and not the fuel cut-off relay, the only problem with connecting the fuel line from the tank and straight to the carbs is that if you don't switch the fuel tap to off when you leave the bike you have a constant supply to the carbs, which is ok as long as your float needles are working properly and cutting off supply to the cylinders, which could lead to flooding otherwise

Yes it's definitely the pump. Bought an after market pump, put it in and she started just fine only to discover this cheap piece was leaking. The pump itself was leaking, not the lines. I want to ride while saving up for an OM pump.
