Default Hello from San Jose, CA

Hi everyone. I'm excited to join the forum and the bike world. I'm a long time gear head but it's always been with cars, so I'm excited to move over to the 2 wheel world.

I'm picking up a 1999 CBR 600 F4 today.

Looking forward to spending a lot of time on this forum!

-Toby

To a fellow new CBR owner, have fun, keep the rubber side down, and enjoy the ride!

CBRdruid,

Thank you!! I just had a nice lunch break from work....and picked up the bike!
Went to a motorcycle shop and had them do an inspection and it came back with some normal things, but nothing major.
It's in my garage now and I can't wait to get home.

Thanks for the welcome!

Post a few pics when you get a chance. This your first sportbike?

Thanks guys! Yes, it's my first sportbike. I've riden my friends bikes back in my high school and college days. After that, I've always wanted one, but didn't trust myself to be responsible enough. Now that I'm older, I figured I'm ready and still want to ride, so I picked one up.

I'd love to post a picture of it, but my work blocks sites like photobucket so I have no where to host it. I'll upload it tonight when I get home. I'm excited! I took it around the neighborhood last night. Having a blast!

As you can see, it's really plain. Although the paint job is nice, (it's a pearl diamond white), it's a little bare and sometimes resembles a CHP bike to me. I'd like to add some simple decals, but would like some advice/direction on where to get some and which styles you guys would suggest?

I was thinking like a dark grey/silver one going down the side that just says CBR.... I dunno. Appreciate the input.
