Default Greetings from Mesa, AZ

New member.

2001 CBR929RE. Dataplate actually says CBR900RE, so I'm pretty sure this is a genuine Erion Racing edition.

14.3K miles

A SHAMEFUL amount of sitting. I have too many bikes, and I received this in lieu of cash from a friend that owed me money... several years ago. I'm a project whoarder. I suck. I also know the prior owner since about 4000 miles.

It sat so much, bad gas fouled the fuel pump... TWICE, so I've replaced that twice. Finally learned that lesson and stored it with stabilizer. Fired right up.

Tires are... 20 year old Pilot Powers. New tires on order.

Going through it to get it off to a new home where someone can give it the love it deserves.

Forks rebuilt.
New front and rear pads.
Fuel pump assembly replaced (twice)
The Fuel bypass valve has been replaced - the one that causes left cylinder to flood when it fails... did that so long ago, I don't remember the specifics.

Right now, it run like a luscious thing.

To do:
Tires
Oil/filter
Coolant
Brake fluid flush
Assess/service replace chain/sprockets as needed.
Detail cleaning
Go through the service manual maintenance items for whatever I've failed to list here.

Thanks for reading.

Steve
