Another new CBR rider!
How's it going guys? I just got my first Honda earlier this week! Figured I'd come online and check out the forums.
A little bit about me:
I'm a Computer Engineering student at UIC, been in the Army National Guard for 6 years, and I like to work on random little projects at home. Currently I'm working on a "smart" mirror.
I've been riding for just over 3 years and somehow been through 5 bikes:
2010 Ninja 250
2007 GSXR600 - hated it, sold it within the week
2013 ZX6R - loved it to death, but it got stolen last year
2007 ZX6R - just so I could ride around until I found a better deal
2008 CBR1000RR - got a great deal on it and i'm loving it

Nice bike. Looks like you have an awesome exhaust also (brocks). Just in case you havent heard, keep an eye on the oil level. 08's are famous for being oil burners and crank whiners. Look at the serial # on the frame and see if there are some punch marks beside it. That would indicate the recalls were done. 08's had a hose clamp recall, a updated clutch recall, and of course the crank whine recall. Honda also never admitted there was an oil burning issue.

Thanks guys! I'm still working on tracking down who stole my bike (making very slow progress, but still progress), they need to be behind bars. I can't wait till next season to open her up and hopefully make it out to the track.
I didn't even think to check the recalls, thanks for that! The previous owner put in a full Brocks titanium exhaust and a PC3. It sounds MEAN.
