93 900RR COIL PROBLEM?
HELLO FELLOW HONDA FREAKS, IM SORT OF NEW TO THESE TYPES OF SITES SO FORGIVE ANY STUPID MOVES, I HAVE A 93 CBR 900RR ,I PICKED UP FOR CHEAP. THIS HS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF MY DREAM BIKES. IT HAS 36K MI. I BOUGHT A DYNO JET KIT, JARDINE PIPE,K+N FILTER . I INSTALLED ALL PARTS MYSELF AND THE BIKE RAN SUPER STRONG FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS THEN I HIT THE VERY COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS BIKE, STATOR FAILURE, R/R FAILURE .I REPLACED THE STATOR, R/R,BATTERY AND NOW BIKE OLNY IDLES ON 3 CYLNDERS, WHEN I CRACK THE THROTTLE IT WAKES UP?? MY QUESTION IS , CAN THE COIL PACK FIRE INTERMIT LIKE THIS?? OH YEAH ALL PARTSI GOT ARE GENUINE HONDA. ANY RESPONSE WOULD BE A BIG HELP.I CANT SEEM TO BUY MY WAY OUT OF THIS. THANKS YALL.

You should edit this post and turn it into a hello I am new here one ...and re post this into the 900RR forum mate ... to get some responses directly to do with your ride ..

Welcome !
Post this in the 900 section next time, but I think your idle jets are blocked.
Strip and clean,
Coils don't do that, and then it's intermittent at high revs.

Not pushy at all, but if we don't let him know, the Mods will.[8D]
Reading the rules is always a good thing...........some forums I've seen would have flamed him already, but we're not like that..........much.....[X(]
If you'd finished your splash pool, you wouldn't have to go to the beach, yubugger !

Don't worry mate ...shes nearly ready for water ..
but we got a drough goin on ..heavy restrictions....it gunna cost me about $2000 to fill the bloody thing with bought water
There's talk about having to swap over to all COLD Jimmy Black Label cans instead of water mate..
