Hi guys new to the forum trying to get my guy back on the road & could really do with some assistance.
Apologies if this has already been asked & answered.
Bikes been garaged for a good few yrs, carbs have been cleaned, full service etc etc.
would not idle without choke.
Petcock developed a leak replaced with a pattern one would not run right .on checking the original one seals were gone, bought a seal kit replaced the diaphragm seals etc...its now developed a leak on the other side.
That side is/was riveted, rivets have been removed & seal inside is rock hard.. failed!
My long winded question is can anyone point me in the right direction for the seal? I've included some photos (hopefully makes sense ) and any help would be seriously appreciated many many thanks 😊
Ps does anyone know the best thing to clean old fuel petcock with that wont damage the seals cheers ?🍻
Unless you can scavage that oring from your pattern part, you're out of luck - either buy another pattern unit (count your blessings they exist - they don't for a CBR1000F!) or you could try fitting a standard round o-ring into the groove - don't forget you can cut and join an oring with superglue and it will work fine.
As for seal-safe solvents, the o-rings are probably butile or nitrile, which means anything stronger than gasoline (including ethonol) is going to destroy them. Throw it in a hot bath ultrasonic cleaner with some simple green for an hour or so...
Thanks rockpool top suggestion re cutting & gluing rubber washer I think that might work. Got new tiny nuts bolts & washers ystday that'll be my new task for tomorrow. Want to keep the original tap
1 it's original
2 the garage it just came back from are suggestng fuel starvation as the reason for rough running ( with the pattern petcock)
Hopefully they are right .
I'll keep you posted thank you 😊

Assuming that you have a CBR1000F, did you make an o-ring to resolve your leak? Thanks for the heads up!
