Fuel petcock leaking when turned off
Hello all,
I have just bought a 1996 CBR 900RR and it came with some parts, one of which was a petcock rebuild kit so I fitted it and the petcock still leaks when in the off position. I pulled it apart and noticed that the steel ball on the on/off mechanism isn't sealing in the housing, I blew it out with compressed air but it seems to be worn.
The housing on the steel ball side is rivoted on so can I pull this appart and clean the housing up or is it time for a new one.
If I buy a new one are they the same from all CBR 900RR's or do i need one just for the 1996 model?
Thanks
