BTW, Clash fan from way back. But you just have to love those Bert Bacharach standards don't you? One of the greatest musicians ever.

Every time you step in an elevator you get to hear his work.

But he obviously had a talent, he is so much richer than any of us.

Also Splash, you're obviously a man after my own heart.

Best song ever written:

Not negotiable on that.

Teeks, man I love D.Krall with that FFL hair

Love the Clash. Love The Jam. even though Town Called Malice or Beat Surrender may be more of my favorites. The Beat, even with Sooner or Later But let's find some obscure 80's ****. Let me look up in my catalog, First, I'll give you a Squeeze,

A touch more from Lemmy, poor sod's not looking too good recently, 68 is a grand age for a rocker like him.

Lets enjoy while we still can, something from a few years ago.

Strange you should say that. At the moment I'm listening to Ray Conniff Singers "So Much in Love". On vinyl.

Full circle DRam - I just gave my eldest kid a turntable and decent speakers
as she's started collecting a broad spectrum of vinyl classics - must say I prefer
the classic vinyl sound over modern day digital music . Tonal Range is just way
superior even to my well worn ears.

Awe hell I just got to put this in here - time warp

Remember these tunes as a tiny kid way back then

Some monster rock. The latter won the eurovision song contest in 2007. Pretty cool vids even if you don`t care for the music. The first version of monsterman is better IMO but the vid quality is appalling.

We are in agreement.

Kids are coming back to analog sound. My son, in his forties, sat and listened to some of my collection, went home with one of my spare turntables and amplifiers and has now built up a decent system of his own. There's hope for the young'uns yet.
