Most EXTREME CONDITIONS may have been just doing a road trip with Sprock...but next to that was dodging a tornado back in 1976. Heading back home on I-71S to Cincinnati from New Castle,PA I ran into a thunderstorm on my CB750. Northern Ohio is really flat and mostly open farm land so when the wind blows there is nothing to slow it down. The sky turned black and then purple with twisting clouds. I saw one funnel cloud try to form but it never made it to the ground and seemed to retract back up into the sky. Where is an overpass when you need one!? I was getting blown from one lane into the other while I laid on the tank at full throttle and could only get 60mph out of the bike. A guy on a Kawi 900 Z1 came by me at +4-5mph with his chin on the clocks too. When I did finally get to a bridge it looked like brighter skys further south so I kept going till I was in the clear. The next day I talked to my sister who lived about 20 miles north of town. Her car was totaled by a tree downed by a tornado.
