Pictures, or it never happened.

^ 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger

That slant-6 will outlast all the rest.

Went to the All-Mopar drag races in Las Vegas one year. There's a Slant-6 class, also known as the Buzzin' Half Dozen. The racers love the push button gear selectors in the old A-bodies

Now that Dave; is one of the very strange coincidences in life. A good friend of mine recently went to Christchurch and picked up a partly restored Mini Cooper.

Reason for sale? The guy had caught the VW bug (excuse the pun) and was working on them. And he had one of those goddam things.

Never heard of them before in life, and suddenly two turn up within a month.

Just like buses.

There's one of those vdub pickups right down the street from me. It's burgundy. If I remember correctly, he did the floor of the bed in wood. Possibly out of necessity. lol..
They're kinda neat trucks, though. My wife loves volkswagens.

On the dodge swinger... every time I hear someone mention one, I can't help but think of that song "spacegrass" by Clutch.

Dodge Swinger..... 1973..... top down..... chassis low.
Panel dim.....light drive.... Jesus on the dashboard.

Dodge Swinger..... 1973..... flaps down... chassis free.
Buzz Aldrin...... Armstrong.... or maybe just me.
Once around the Sun... cruising.... climbing.
Jupiter cyclops winks at me.... Yeah, he knows who's driving.
Hit neutral in the tail of a comet.... let the vortex pull my weight.
Push the seat back a little lower..... watch light bend in the blower.
Planets align.
A king is born.
Dodge Swinger.
Jesus on the dashboard.

Ugly is very much in the eye of the beholder, if I was a contractor looking for hardfill to go under a building I would think that thing is just wonderful.
