Yep! And the last time I was in England, my coworker bought a bottle of water and when I pointed out to him that a pint of beer would have been cheaper he just stared at me.

Come to think of it, water is more expensive than petrol. Yesterday, another one of my coworkers bought a small bottle of water at the airport for $1.50 US, that's about $12.00 per gallon.

I wonder how much oil and energy it takes to make a 20oz plastic bottle?

I get your drift , but oil comes in a big plastic container too.

This thread is getting a bit 'green'?

Next we'll be talking about carbon footprints and carbon tax!

Chlorine and sugar water will do the same thing.
I don't recommend it, though.
Seriously. It'll blow chit up. I've been lucky.

Nothing beats a bit of C4, though. I saw a chunk about the size of a big eraser blow the seat of a van through the roof (peeled the roof like a sardine can and it blew the smoking seat about 30ft in the air).
I also watched a C4 letter bomb blow a steel desk to shreds.
That stuff is no joke.

Well.... I finally put some color on the old Si. LOL...

I've been driving the car to work in primer for about a month now like a ghetto rat, fixing little things as I go.
22yr old cars definitely take some time to get right before you can even think about making them "better".

Plus, being busy makes things VERY slow going.
In the last few months I've finished the body work, new plug wires, welded dual O2 bungs in the exhaust header (the JDM motor required split 1/4-2/3 O2 signals), 2 new O2 sensors, new tires, tags/ins/reg, inspection, tag lights, new depo amber corner lights and bumper lights, brakes, trailing arm bushings, battery, new steel front bumper support (don't ask), dash light bulbs (needed 3.. lol), blower fan, brake bleed, oil/filter, battery, wiper blades, washer motors, lower shift boot, clutch/brake pedal pads, etc. I can't even remember the rest but there was a good bit more.

I ditched the idea of going blue and put it back to red. It's a urethane single stage that was as close as I could find to the original Rio Red. Not bad, but painting outside is a bitch. MUCH better than primer, but there are a couple of spots I'll probably need to refinish. I put 2000 Civic Si alloy wheels on it with new tires, which I think looks pretty good.

It's coming along, I suppose. 31/35mpg is nice compared to 16mpg on my Jeep. Next step is painting/replacing all the molding (donor doors), and finishing the new carpet.

My wife calls it a Geo Metro all the time just to **** me off.
I just can't understand how anyone couldn't see the beauty in this car.
Ok, maybe I can.... but I love it. No power steering or any of that ***** crap, just a 160hp go-cart with a sunroof.
