Maybe stretch it some and tape it on both side.
There is nothing you can do to quiet a HD with open pipes.
Yeah TBT I must give that a go see if it takes the buffeting out of it.
Next vid I plan on is out on the Highway so I may just dub the sound
with some soundtrack 'cause I expect it'll sound like chit no matter
what when I open her up on the highway.......we'll see........I'll try it
on my 32 mile commute tomorrow morning...weather permitting

As for HD's ...........there's just waay to many of those clunkers around
here these days.............drive ya nuts listening to them sputterin' their
way around town ............slower than molasses too .......holdin' the rest
of us up ..........man they suck.

Just recently here in NY there was some government interest in making OEM pipes mandatory on all motorcycles due to noise pollution. Thank's a lot HD guys......

If I were to run open pipes on my bike or car, I would not be able to go one block without getting ticketed. About 90% of HDs here run open pipes making your ears bleed and getting away with it. That first guy in you video should be ticketed every time he takes his bike out.

A small piece of open cell foam or even cloth should work over the mic also, something to baffle the wind and let the other sounds in. I would rather listen to the engine than a tune.

yep thanks TBT , I'll doctor up something for the mic tonight.

Tomorrow's supposed to be all sunshine ........means I may take another
extended summer week-end again .........can't help it since we've had such
a wet summer here..........I'll post up another vid when I put the mic pad
on and get a good run in,.. either on the highway, or up to Perkins Cove
in Ogunquit Maine via Rt 1.

Yep, same here, 17 rainy weekends in a row . I am a little west of Albany. Rain, rain and more rain. We have not had summer yet. I gave up today and just got off the golf coarse. Just me and some guy two holes out in front of me. I always walk and I am soaked but, at least I am not sitting on the couch. It is dropping to 55°F tonight.

I am leaving for south France on Wednesday and will be there for the month of August. I will be thousands of mile from my bike working. OH..I bet it will be sunny then......
When I get back I start my fall work travel schedule. So much for riding this summer.

I use to work up in Bath Maine at Maine Yankee power plant (just dirt there now).
I seldom get back to Seabrook, NH.

Ah so you know this area then TBT..........s'pretty nice around here. Seabrooks
just up the street from where I work. Anyhow I plan on putting the cam on
for my ride home ...........north from MA through NH and into ME this evening
so some of this stretch of Highway will be all too familiar to you then. It's about a
1/2 hour ride going legal...........should take about 4 hours to upload ..... LOL
