That is actually quite clever and funny for Harley riders to have come up with that.

I wonder how many of them it took to think of it?

Hah Trout , thanks Dude - picked up my police report yesterday - operator #1
(aka the b!tch i the white van ) "failure to yield to right of way"

Adjuster coming out next week before I head off on my annual globe trotting gig !

Expecting a big fat check to be waiting for a new case when I get back.

Now as for the plugs - those m'fers at the dealership pulled my IK 20's back a while
when the camshaft seals were getting replaced ( long story ) so what came out this
am - a set of six bosch platinum +4's - no f'n wonder the vulva was hesitating - lol
and not only that they only tightened down every second plug - W-T-F - I hate all
Stealerships - goddamned rookies I swear.

Anyways all good now with the new AutoLite Extreme Iridiums @ $5.99 / plug with a
$3.00 rebate per plug - only thing about them was they came with a .050 gap !

Geezuz it's not a friggin Messerschmidt motor - LOL - so had to re-gap them all to
.030 - spec is .028 to .032

She's running like a raped ape now.

That damned dealership - they're goddamned unreal - can't trust them not one bit !

I hate that BS, too. Probably why I've never taken any of my cars to a dealership. lol...

Come to think of it, I've never taken my car to any shop before unless it's for exhaust work. Even with a welder, I hate exhaust work.

After the Sydney trip (to get solar panels), Mrs SB's solid old Ford AU Wagon got an exhaust upgrade. I needed to replace from the cat back due to excessive corrosion after 14 years!

So, I replaced the lot - from the head back with an, ummmmmm, sportier system. Mrs SB and I did the mummy wrapping in the lounge one evening and the next evening I fitted the system. Started at 6 PM, finished at 1.30 AM

I too hate exhaust work.

But it was worth it, nice muted burble, increased torque yada yada.

Cheers, SB

Nice.

I just hate all the pipe bending without a pipe bender.
I don't mind as much if I can find the right parts or I'm buying a pre-fab kit from somewhere.

Ok, I lied. I still hate it. lol....

I agree it's truly exhausting work ! I just did a cat back on on the S80 3 weeks ago
Muffler shop wanted 865 bucks - got the whole shebang from amazon for 144 !

Putting in on the car in 90 degree weather with only ramps was a 3 six packer

Had to leave the road test until the following morning (late morning that is)

I did not have a drink! But it was cold and thankfully I had the use - and assistance - of my mechanic neighbour and his hoist!

BTW I think this is now the thread with the most name changes in the history of CBR Forum??

Cheers, SB

- LOL all depends where the conversation goes at times eh Seb - LOL - hey it's just saloon talk !

I actually ended up ramping the car with the font and rear passenger side wheels
basically tipping it over - worked a treat when it came to drilling out the flange bolts
on the ss cat flange - an "easy does it " routine

Yep, sometimes I do wonder if I am saving money by spending hours working on something - then when it is finished I reflect in the "I did that" feeling and say YES.

Unless I screw it up completely

Still waiting for the pictures of the 100,000 km iridium plugs aren't we - or did that go with the title?

Cheers, SB
