classic... what can you say to that?

 

I had a similar experience to Hamlin a few years back.

I was sent down SH8A to do a bit of pick up with the GPS on a big farm block that had subdivision potential.

One of the tasks was to pick up a water intake that a neighboring farm had in a creek and would need to be officially recorded and an easement created.

So, I rock up to the homestead and ask where this creek with the water intake is?

"It's back up the road toward Wanaka at the back of the lucerne paddock"

Up and down the feckin road for ages looking for a paddock of lucerne.

Eventually admit defeat and go back to the homestead and confess that I'm unable to find the lucerne paddock.

"Well, there's no lucerne in it at this time of the year, it's not lucerne growing season"

Ha bloody ha farmer, pulled a swifty over the city boy; at the end of the day though I had the last laugh. I get charged out at $120/hr ($2/min), so his little joke cost him $80.

 

We're being told that Oscar Pistorius's Mum is leaving town before Mother's Day............................
