Default sooo nice out...

It was beautiful out this weekend up here in connecticut....75º or so with a breeze, LOTS of sun and a few fluffy clouds to break the sun every now and then...gorgeous...I went for only 2 rides this weekend though. one each day...totaling about 500 miles...which is a **** of a lot seeing as I never left CT which is a speck of a state...had a great time following the rivers and reservoirs mostly, bounced off a couple state lines. It was one of those times when you leave the watch at home grab a $20 for lunch along the way and just ride with no clue as to where you are going...just going. most of it was about 45mph or so just meandering about, but with a few gooooood blasts tossed in there to keep her happy...lots and lots of curvy roads...those tight ones where you can really lean into them even though your only doing 60...forget the 25mph speed limit signs, just dig in an pull through em...just plain FUN. hope someone else was able to have as much fun as I did this weekend.

Man, it's great, isn't it?
I love days like that. It's what biking is all about. When everything comes together, and just feels awesome.

It was really nice down here in PA this weekend, too. It sucks that it's back to the grind tomorrow..
No worries, though, because this saturday I'm off to an east coast island for a week of surf fishing and being a bum. It's gonna be great.

BTW, my old girl came from up your way. I bought her in Mass. Just northwest of Boston area. I've been way up north a few times, too. So beautiful. There is a reason that poets retire in Maine.

LOL, Stick a minus sign and you've got Scotland. To be fair, it wasn't quite that bad, but not far off.
This weekend here, Friday thru till now has been 22 C + which is great for this time of year

We have +25C here today and i had a 150km trip -after sitting a bit in traffic i was a wet like kitten.
In the morning i had an idea to go to track day today, but this seems too much for now I was on track day on Friday with +20 and it was already too hot

Well i have to get used to it, coz seems that summer is here
The trick is to put on right gear and leave the winter gear home

I managed to get out for 250 K's on Sunday, after a 3 week delay due to the bike needing a new camchain, and problems with the rebuild (tappet cover bolt broke !) went up to the Natal midlands on an early ride - it's midwinter here, so was damned cold on the bike for the first 2 hours (around 6C) and with the windchill it froze the monkey's ***** !
New camchain made a BIG difference to the bike's performance ( no more timing retarded due to stretch in the chain.) Had a good time.

Shadow, glad to hear she's running good!

(tappet cover bolt broke !)
Hmmm... never done that before...
Did you know that a fairing bolt will fit right in there?
Not that I would ever break off a cover bolt like that, and then try to use a fairing bolt, and the say "Dam, that worked pretty good"....
Nope, not me...
