Sold my old ride! (strange pics)
Well I sold my old VT1100 yesterday. The guy who bought it is picking it up Friday. He absolutely loved the bike and couldn't believe how nice it was, especially for a '95. He even paid my full asking price which was $500 more than I paid 5 years/15,000 miles ago. He's getting a great bike though. I wouldn't hesitate right now to ride it across country, no lie.
Anyway my coworkers/buddies were over at the time helping themselves to the line of taps in the bar downstairs so after the new buyer left we figured we'd better get pics while we could:
I'm surprisingly comfy on the backseat here...

This is just really strange

I'll miss the old Shadow, she got me through rain, snow, hail, even some nice sunny weather every now and then and only required gas, oil and one new regulator. It's the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned and I know she'll serve her new owner well! Good news is my wife wants the money to buy one of these:

Ninja 250r. I won't have room for long! Hope to be breaking that in in a couple weeks.

That 250 would be fun. I think you'd find yourself stealing it from the wife more than you think you would.
I had a chance to demo a CB250R two days ago but chose the CB1000R instead. I would have had more fun on the 250.

I love the 300 but she needs something cheap she can drop. It's her first bike and she's never ridden before. Also the 300 isn't quite the slow bike people think it is, I'm afraid it would be a bit much for her! Of course the 250r is a lot for a 250, it's no Rebel or GZ...
