scooter talk lol
Looks like a motopan in other words mobil urinal
But ya know even BMW's getting into the game - which is
no surprise given the amount of these things on the roads
in European Metropolitan Areas

As for the backwards running two stroke thing, I seem to recall that Kawasaki Big Horn trail/MX bikes from the early 70's had a bit of a rep for doing the same thing???

Oh rats...I was going to tell you things like....You could put a 6-pack on ice under the seat.
Yep, I was 16 years old and had a 6-pack under the seat.
There was a hole on each side, at the rear of the compartment pan, where it matched up to the body. The melted ice would drain out there. I remember a few times, someone would point out that my radiator was leaking.

They are cheap to operate. Check put this LINK. Last week I was on the phone with a friend of mine who lives outside Chicago. He stuffs his golf clubs under the seat of his 400cc Yamaha scooter, but has to strap the driver to the side. He has a collapsible bag. He told me he flips the fuel filler lid and sets his coffee on the fuel cap that's down in the hole. Not intended but, built in coffee cup holder while sitting in traffic doing the USA-Today crossword. He said he has 23,000 miles on the tires now and was thinking about replacing them even though they still have plenty of life left.
I have ridden it and it has plenty of go with the 400cc twin hooked to the CVT.
I know the Honda Silverwing and Piaggio X9 have big bore kits along with other goodies like pipes and cans.
It is a huge market. Back in the day I had to mix my oil and fuel. Now they are just about all 4-stroke and have displacements of what I would have called a huge motor back then.
I will stick to my description: When you mount it, if your heal is behind your butt hole as you through a leg over, its a motorcycle. Scooters, you can sit down and swing your leg through.
Not being allowed to filtering in the US really sucks and somewhat defeats the object of a scooter as a commuter tool. Filtering to the front of a long line of traffic is one of the great pleasures of two wheeled transport.
Nope did not have time for that kind of useless entertainment and besides
that'd be kinda like watching Jimbo trying to set a land speed record

I can say that because I know he's out west somewhere on the road doing
another "big adventure"
and can't defend himself
So long as it's got two wheels (ok, possibly three, i.e. those wicked looking can-am thingies) So long as your NOT couped up in a tin top it's gotta be a BIG plus. Besides we all gotta start somewhere eh. Me, a groovy red Honda nifty fifty that caught me the biking bug. Many years and bikes later (gosh i feel old now, ha) I've migrated to a monster 05 Kawasaki VN2000 cruiser to cater for busted knees and my lovely wife.
Once my sons reach age, no cars, they get a good ole scooter, it teaches ya alot about road respect.
