Speights stands for ....a short night out, lots of throwing up, a couple of burnt couches, the odd student riot, many people dressed in blue hitting ya with long battons and a short stay in 6x4 room with no door handle..............................a typical Dunedin night out.

PS JK, My dad always regailed the story about driving with Maclaren from Dunedin to invercargil in a new mini cooper for some race meeting. Reckoned it was the first time in his life he had spent more time on the wrong side of the road than the right side and done it quicker than at any other time!
