Thanks for the link Kilgoretrout, that price is a whole lot easier to take than $30 for what amounts to a quarter sized piece of rubber. Regarding location, I'm in the soggy Pacific NW of the US, so I've still got another month before the rains stop and riding will be enjoyable yet again.

Thanks for the welcome Sprock. She's got 38k miles, and looks great on the outside -nice paint, minimal cracks in the plastic, seat looks perfect, etc. But underneath the plastic tabs are nearly all epoxied, the skinny bit of fairing that goes around the front turn signals is made of bondo, and the grab handle that wraps around the seat broke off at one of it's mounting tabs. Mechanically though I couldn't be happier, easy starts (usually), no rattles/knocks/or thumps at any speed, and all the power I'll ever need. I'll throw a picture up after my part comes in and I can get it out in the sun to pose.

Default Hey

I am a newby here, so HEY from north western Illinois!
Just got my 88 CBR1000F a month ago.
What a difference from the CB750's, VF700's, and VT700 I used to ride!!!
(I enjoy the eighties bikes for some reason, probably my age)
I do have a 87 CBR600F, but it seems like a mini bike compared to the
1000!
I now understand why we all enjoy the CBR1000 so much.
Unbelievable power!
I just joined the forum, and have just started enjoying all the articles, bits of humor, and advice here.
Thanks for the warm welcome
Trent

I see some of the other inmates have said hi already - some of them don't ride much, due to Roo's, road rash or red ****, but there you are.......
Enjoy the mayhem...................

Who did the most miles (on their bike) over the weekend away ?
Dragging it in a trailer is sensible but doesn't get you any brownie points, Sprocketman......

And the winner is..............................The red-arsed, Redskin fan.
It's what happens when you get all chafed from riding in the rain........
And then hiding in a truck..............................

Welcome to the CBRF, loco!
Good bunch of riders here (other than the obvious ones...lol).

Glad you're enjoying the ride, man.

heh heh ....... **** between Classic , Shadow and now Trout ......... we now appear to
have the makings of a full cast for Mo , Larry & Curly

Don't think he got chafed much Pete ...... plenty of J&J and then of course there was
the 3 mexicans and the young lady in the restroom that Trout "happened" upon

You sure you got more miles that CB2CBR there Troutling ???
