Stopping in to say hello.
Recently became the proud new owner of a 1993 1000f with just over 26k. I'm pretty happy, overall she is strait. Ohins rear shock, stock quiet exhausts, blinkers not working. But purs like a kitten.

I acquired her through some trading.
A old mustang for a Chevrolet truck, truck for a explorer, explorer for this lady.

Coming from a 954 I like the sport touring feel. She's still pretty fast. A good bike for going for a long ride and not dying.

Sand pit is mostly over for me. For a little while anyways. Waiting for the next skirmish.

I'm happy to have my hurricane. I'll be mostly using her as a commuter for work and the occasional weekend ride. So during the week I have economy in mind. So far averaging 45.5 mpg. Which makes me ecstatic.

Yet while getting that I still roll on in 5th and 6th gear pretty hard. My work is back road twisties, and is a fun 20 minute ride one way. I stay about 70 but have seen much faster. She doesn't quite have the raw power of the old 954. But with the hurricane you can let exactly what's going to happen when you apply the throttle. In that sense this 21 year old bike it's pretty refined.

Enjoying life my friends.

That old bike was a trend setter as I rode the first Hurricane my dealer received. After that ride I walked away knowing very well I would not have a drivers license in my first year of ownership. With age comes wisdom and responsibility, Plus I don't heal like I used to....

Default what is the best way to fit risers and straight bars

Hi all, first a big thanks to all who helped with my fuel pump issues earlier this year, the old girl is running super sweet. I want to fit straight bars on her now as the me old wrists are suffering, I have a cbr1000f-j, is there someone who makes a top yoke with the risers already on there, or can I just bolt on risers and fit them myself, I hope someone can help me out, thanks in advance.

Hi Peter, Glad she's running well now.

You'll get a better response to your question from here :-

CBR 1000F "Hurricane" - CBR Forum - Enthusiast forums for Honda CBR Owners

But in response to your question, yes it has been done by other owners, if you use the 'drop down' search function at the top of the page I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
