First things first. You need to remove that Vetter top box before the neighborhood dogs bury the entire bike.

Secondly, its gonna need a blower.

Mark- That Vetter trunk box looks like something from DMC Back To The Future...maybe that will be your theme? Have a look on Fleabay for a spare Flux Capacitor.

Sprock, thank you for your kind comments.

I seem to recall that some months ago I dared to suggest that I was casting my eye at a Wing for exactly the same reason you have.

Got totally dissed, and people suggested I needed help and counselling.

Just goes to show, that rather than an object of derision, I may actually be a trendsetter.

Bert Munro was the last Kiwi trend setter, Teeks.

Tony I think the whole question of the Wing came up because of the price, and the availability of spares - they ain't the fastest or the best cornering bike but they do have a lot going for them - carrying a load of luggage for one !
My preferred form of transport into town or round the suburbs is my wife's CB750 Custom- the one that wants to think it's a Harley..........but isn't thank the Lord.
It gets loads of smiles, mainly because of the paint job (metallic magenta) - I call her the Pink Pig LOL Just like the GL -it won't win any races, can't corner for sh-t and not enough power but great fun to ride when it's the journey, not the destination that's important.

Justa bunch of envious bishes is all they are Tony and come on now since when did a
Kiwi ever give two ***** what anyone else thought.

Anyway all the Vetter stuff comes right off first thing then out with the tank and carbs
drop the oil and filter and all coolant and cam belts - new plugs and wire new fluids
and filters new belts - see if she runs - then go about all the other stuff rims forks
seat bars tank shroud has to change don't like the 3 clock setup etc etc like I said
it'll take 6 months or a year

Already found some kick **** pipes for it
