I finally purchased my new melon protector. Took a while to decide & make sure it was comfy on my head. I thought I was going to end up with a Scorpion EXO 700 but after trying on all the different brands & models I chose to go with Joe Rocket made by HJC. I picked up the RKT 101 Stain (Black/Silver/Silver). This graphic is on clearance right now (unbelievable price). It is extremely comfortable. Here is a link from the company.

I got the RKT101 Carbon Fiber in blue. My only peeve is opening the 'ram duct' chin vent makes hella noise at speed

Nice looking bone dome mate! Is it quiet? My only gripe with my current lid is that it's a bit noisy and I don't like to ride with ear plugs in. The strap is starting to show signs of wear (only very slight ) so a new one may be on the horizon.

I've got a Symax II and it's not the quietest and it does shake a bit, but when you live here and the summers are HOT, it's nice to have the flip up chin bar.
