That's RIGHT. I couldn't think of it. I would also have never remembered Connery's name was Malone. I think the perjorative was "Dago".

They used to call my dad "Joe the Dago" in high school. That would have been in about 1930. We're Irish I'm guessing, with some American Indian. He looked just like John Garfield (who oddly, was Jewish).

 

One of my best friends in high school was italian. His name was "Vinny" lol..
We called him wop mostly..... hell, we still do.
He's a hell of a cool guy. A good friend.
