How to change a motorcycle tire
I brought a tire changer this year... absolutely love it. Can change tires when ever I want, run my own take offs on one set of rims, and keep fresh rubber on my track rims. I think this year I saved $2000 in tire costs doing it myself and paying online prices instead of local shop+install prices.
You can easily do it - you just need a front stand, levers, and an air compressor. Balancing doesn't need to be perfect... for my track tires I just spin them over and make sure they're close. I gave up on balancing when I realized it didn't matter at all on the track.
I brought a NoMar Jr Pro with a few accessories... and it is paid for already. I'd never have a garage without one.

I used a 2x6, after you remove the valve stem, support the edge of the rim on either side with some wood, beit 2x4, some plywood, what ever just to keep the center and rotor from touching the ground, then place a 2x6 about 4 feet long on the tire near the rim, then jump on it as close to the tire as you can, this will break the bead, then flip it over and do it again. i know its ghetto, but i dont have a bead breaker.
Haha yes indeed. But No HF in canada and i hate having **** shipped here, taxes and duties are killer.
Well my way is a bit different..........have a hoist over my work bench
lift the wheel up position it over the large bench vice I have and break
the bead that way.........hey it works ........LOL
Just got PM' d and was told this was a very "High Tech" method
