very simple steps..... first i used 80grid sand paper to get rid of the bumps on the plastic. than i used 220 to get rid of the groves that 80 left. after that i used 1000 and to finish it of i used 2000 grid sand paper (wet sanded with 1000 and 2000) it was still not clear so to make it clear i used headlight restore system (dont remember witch one) they all should work very similar.

before you start. just know it took me about 10 + hours to do that. a lot of sending. i also used dremel triangle disc to get to corners, but thats only with the courser sand paper.

i have another concept for the halo. i will be doing it through out the winter. i will post up the project. the halo itself will be made out of the LEDs, at least 30 of them. it will be super bright. just trying to figure out what i will make the frame out off.

My question is if you think it would be possible to make different shapes?
I think a outline on my headlights (2011 CBR600RR) would look really good so the shape would be more of a

I was taking a guess that if i did 4 smaller straight pieces of tube it would turn out well so a total of 8 L.E.D.'s per headlight.
Any thoughts on this?

that would work well i think. but you can also get that look with the self sticking leds that you can pick up from autozone.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll be giving this a shot over the winter.

Is there any tricks to getting apart the headlight?

there is, but i did it the hard way and im not sure what it is. ive read that if you put it in the oven just to heat it up a little, it will come apart easy. you might want to look at the posts by z. he did a lot of those.

i put mine in the oven at about 250 for about 30 seconds. pull it out (with oven mits) and start prying. you wont get it apart the first time so you'll have to put it in the oven again. I put it together the same way.
