The black connector I'm talking about is on my 600RR.... you have the wires in pics 3 and 4... It’s just a different type of connector than they used on my bike. All four of mine look like your signals and license plate light connectors.

Sounds like you have it down now... let me know how it turns out and show some pics of the new tail.

 

Yea..I think I got it.

As I said, my only concern is what to do about the cut blue wire that went to the right rear turn signal. I'm just hoping it's somewhere in the tape (where the Hotbodies box was spliced into).

Not sure what to do if it's not there. That's where I think I'm lost, what to do if I don't have the blue wire.

But I'll give it a shot tomorrow. It should definitely look good once that tail is on. Thanks Don.

At least you're not posting pics of your bike wrecked or stolen... wiring diagrams are good.

The blue wire has to be there... somewhere. You may have to trace it back to find it, but I'm sure it's in that mess of tape somewhere.

hymmm you would of just tapped into the wires... much better then cuttign a stock harness. I will never ever do that again. Ok, so sicne i have a 01 silver and black f4i, wanna sell me your old under tail??

 

Well, the stock harness was already tapped into by the Hotbodies taillight integrator. I put it back to stock, with the help of a friend.
Now I can use my stock connectors (even though the undertail's wires were spliced into the stock harness).
I plan on buying a Scorpio alarm (when I can save up for it), and I'd be able to use the factory connector kit.
It was a pain, and some of the wires barely reached (whoever did the wiring chopped off good portions).

Yea, I was going to put it (the old undertail) up in the classified section within the next few days (gotta clean it first), along with the factory taillight and the integrator kit. I believe it came from Hotbodies (the undertail and kit), even though they don't have it up on their site anymore. If you care to make me an offer, shoot me a PM, otherwise, I'm going to shop around and see what they go for, then try and sell it at a more than reasonable price.
