yes it's normal...you won't get any wheel of fortune spin...probably at most 1 to 2 turns. you should hear some pad drag when you push your bike around.
now if it's super duper tight, like when you try to spin the wheel and it goes like .25 turn, then it's too tight.

Hey man I don't recommend that you do this, but it sounds like a quick fix but highly corrosive there is tooo much brake fluid in the system!!! if you were to loosen the top of you brake reservoir it will allow the extra fluid out of the system or try this loosen the bleedr valve on the front calipers !! Hold pressure on the brake lever and break the bleeder loose 1 time tighten the bleeder and let off the lever !! DO NOT LET GO OF THE LEVER WITH THE BLEEDER OPEN you will suck air back in the line !! Keep in mind again this fluid will eat the paint off any thing it touches so be very very carefull that should do it!!! Let us know if that does it !! G

why are you telling him to remove fluid from his resevoir? unless it's wicked tight, there's supposed to be some drag on it.

I agree. There's no need to remove any fluid. The drag is NORMAL.
He made it sound like it wouldnt turn and I know that sometimes when you put new pads in the piston has to be pressed back in the caliper causing the fluid to over fill the resevoir!! just figured it was easy to bleed them out but yeah the drag is normal!!!
Have you had the front wheel off? If you have, try this. Loosen the axle pinch bolts on both sides. Take it off the front stand. Bounce the front a couple of times, then retighten the pinch bolts, without putting it on the stand. Then put it back on the front stand and see if it is better. This often solves the problem. It settles the front axle into better alignment.
