Default What type of Chain do you use/

So it is about time for a new chain. My rear sproket needs to be replaced also, the front is fine. I was thinking seeing that I am going to change the rear, and the chain, that I should go ahead and change the front. This also gives me a good reason to go down 1 in the front. My question is what company do you guys use. I do alot of commuting, about 70 miles a day, and I ride it every day(the best riding is in SoCal), so I am looking for a company that last the longest.

yo bro...
DID chain all the way. nothing else ok?

as far as sprockets...go with steel...try AFAM, sprocket specialist, etc.
ask brian at www.sprocketcenter.com in Huntington Beach. he hook you up.

i had RK and so have many others i chill with. they all crapped out.

DID best.

you gotsa change all sprockets with chain and vice versa if you want them to wear good.

Another DID chain, and I use Esjot steel sprockets. I also like the Motion Pro Jumbo chain breaker/riveter which works well.

D.I.D. is excellent chain. I've also had great experience with RK chains. EK's suck a$$.

Ditto: DID X-ring. AFAM Sprockets, simply the best.

Cheers

I'm running an RK chain, and as you I commute all the damn time. Roughly the same distance as your commute btw. But I have also had good experiences running DID's. And I'll be the first to admit I don't oil the damn thing as much as I should for the miles I put on. Tempted to invest in a ScottOiler

D.I.D. for sure... no doubt about the chain. As for sprockets I like Vortex racing... these other ones I'm not sure about, but everthing else on my f4i is Vortex so what the hell. I just bought that entire setup again after 12k.
