So are you asking what oil to use or telling us what oil to use?

I use Shell Rotella T6 Synthetic 5w-40 (blue bottle) after reading countless reviews about how great it performs in our bikes and in the climate here in AL.

I would stay away from "energy saving" oils.

I run Mobil 1 10w-40 full synthetic. I have been using it for years and never had any issues. I change it every 5-8k miles. As f3 Fighter said stay away from the energy conserving oils they have additives that will cause the clutch to slip. I go to the local WalMart to buy the oil for all my vehicals they seem to be the cheapest.

10w-40 shouldn't be, but if it says "energy conserving" in the circle, steer clear.

It's a cast iron PITA to find in Philly... I've tried. So I gave up and run Mobil 1 4T Race in my F4i. I ran Rotella T6 in the F3.

No problems with either
