So i just recently purchased a 2006 f4i and have just noticed something with it. Just the other day I removed the entire upper cowling to attach some missing screws, and ever since I have put it back together, there has been a strange noise when I have the bike on and running, if I turn the handlebars to the left all the way, it will make a "rubbing sound" occurs when I'm not moving at all, just the action of moving from dead center, to the far left. Any thoughts as to what this could be? I didn't make any modifications when i removed the cowl. Thanks

 

I'd guess that a wire harness isn't routed correctly.

 

Silly mistake, was the new screw set that I installed on the windscreen, it has rubber nuts that rub on the master brake fluid holder.
