I have owned my '02 954 for six months now. I bought is used and it has 20K miles. It has started running rich (back-fires, dies at stop lights, poor trottle response). The mechanic says it needs the values adjusted. Does this sound like the right fix for my bikes issues?

 

it could be many things...but at 20K, it could be the valves but usually honda's go for a bit before you need to adjust the valves.

you are supposed to check the clearances at 16K, so if you haven't, might as well do that and get the throttle body synch'd.

if the plugs haven't been changed yet, make sure you do that (i'd do it first).
