That cop is full of it .. If you look at most Harley's you will see vance&hines or Eagle exhaust systems on them and other makers like Milwaukee mufflers that are put on at the factory . D&D , and other street design slip on's have to pass strict DB and EPA standards to even market them let alone sell them for street bikes.
Problem is ,,and what feeds these bike hating cops ,,and gives them the malfunction of harassing riders are , bike owners that remove the silencer / baffles out of them and give the cops every opportunity to dish it out .
Putting on "off road" or race only slip-on's is like waving a gun in the middle of the street . I myself won't have my bike sounding like a moped ,, but not ear splitting either . A grumble , rumble , roar ,, not a wailing banshee , if it sounds good ,,you get noticed and a smile ,, too loud,,noticed and a ticket.

Hey everybody! I was wondering if anyone out there has a 2008 - 2011 CBR1000RR with Two Bros M-2 exhaust slip-on, on it? Looking to find out what the Db's are like. We have a noise level by-law in Edmonton, AB and I don't want to have to dealwith the cops all the time if I can help it!
Thanks for the help in advance!

You can add that to your exhaust to bring down the dB's by 7-8 db's.
