Default Resistors why? Turn signals..(Pre-installation)

What risk do I run when installing led signals with no resistors ? I personally dont mind a higher flash rate easier and quicker recognition by traffic but do I risk burning any of the electrical out because of the rate? Im about to install my signals and have resistors handy but is there any benefit besides slower flash rate?

Nope, no risk to having the faster rate. It's actually drawing less current that way.

What he said. The resistors increase the load on the circuit to the level the flasher relay expects to see which makes it function at the normal rate.

And if you decide that the rapid flash rate is too fast you can replace the stock flasher relay with an electronic flasher that will make them flash at the normal rate. For around $10 it's a quick and easy fix and no hot resistors needed.

Electronic Flasher Relay

Scroll down to the bottom of the page for motorcycle applications. I have the LF1-S-FLAT on mine.

the only problem ive actually run into once before on my f4i and the hot bodies tail was that the blinkers were blinkin so fast that they looked like they were just on and a solid light. i had to re-wire the previous owners work and add a few to slow it down. other then that you should be good to go.
