Default Tire Balancing

So I'm going to take the front tire off my 01 F4i myself and bring it in to have it mounted, but the place I'm taking it doen't balance motorcycle tires. My buddy goes to MMI and told me that it doesn't matter if the tire os balanced. That it only gives you like .01% better milage?
