Default Balancing tire

I need a new back tire and I believe I am gonna change it myself and save myself some money. Now once I change the back tire should I take it to have it balanced again or wont it hurt to just put it back on the bike? I am sure this is a stupid question but I must know. Thanks in advance for answering my question.

Read this thread first if you don't have the equipment to change your tire: LINK.

You will have to have it balanced though. Otherwise it's gonna behave oddly.
