Default Temp gauge rises abit above middle

So ive noticed that my temp gauge will rise a little above the middle mark on my new bike. Its a 1999 CBR F4, 11k miles. Coolent is where it should be but i cant varify that the fan is kicking on. Anyway to test it? The fuse is good, checkd that.
My awesome drawing. Seems to hang out around here.

I would think as long as its not rising higher than 3/4 of the way to red then youre fine. I used to have a Ninja 500 and it always ran between 1/2 and 3/4 and seemed to do fine...I dunno tho

On cool days and in the open air my bike rides at quarter. On warm days it stays at half and when in traffic on warm days it goes between half and three quarters. The fan kicks on at three quarters on mine. As long as it doesn't shoot to red, I'd say you are ok.

yea, my fan always used to kick on at about 3/4 of the way up on my ninja 500...on my F2 though, I think the previous owner must have done alot of sitting in traffic and had the fan wired up to where the fan is on ALL the time...even if you turn the key on without the bike running, the fan runs...weird huh?

my fan kicks on a pinch past 1/2. Riding around town it stays around the fan turn on temp. On the highway, doing 60-100its barely above the cold mark.
